This week in 1939 (light and breezy summer vacation reading suggestion)

History is a funny thing. There are just too many jokes in there to be serious it seems. Everyone's always worried and scared about the future, but everything always seems to be ok when it comes to those same things being feared yesterday... The second it passes , that horrible thing suddenly became "necessary" , since... well... it happened right? And then someone else says something else happened and then the interest in it fades and there's more of the same thing to fear again tomorrow. Hilarious really. The Batman's Joker style kind of funny though.

But have no fear we say , since there is nothing to fear but fear itself. And the things that's so scary about fear itself, is that it makes you forget , and it's also completely impossible to think cognitively while in a state of fear.

When in fear , you're under complete control of that "danger" you are scared of, since each and every feeling, emotion, perception, opinion and assumption is given to you by the thing you are fearing in the future... but seem to accept in the past without any difficulty. Since... why be scared of something that already happened?

Fear only looks to the future... And relief only looks to the past. But when growing up you start to learn that your fears should be pointed at the past, and relief in the future then becomes the emerging property of that.

Sadly... Our cultures , all over the world have gone the other way a long time ago. We have been teaching everyone to do it the opposite way , the inside out way... because we've learned that you can use fear and despair to control and dominate others in stunned silence.

And it's that same pervasive example that has been teaching all of you to stay in that loop of fear and acceptance of it, since it's everywhere.

Ideological discussion aren't a way out. Action that has actually learned something from the past are. And then of course you assume that can also only lead to ideological discussion hence the action that has learned is blocked by the ideological discussion which then becomes a necessary evil to accept , and you're right back where you started. With a little less energy and hope to start at it yet again.

But then existence constantly proves you otherwise though. Each and every day again , your days and experiences wear you out, causing you to seek escape in an information landscape that has been flooded with escapism from everyone else in the same loop. You feel less desperation if you can see more desperation somewhere else. That just all keeps making it all worse though.

So... How to fix it? This way...
Look at history , see what was obviously the wrong choice... and do something better. We can all still agree on that right?
But we can't agree on what would be better or what was wrong? Ok... skip that one then , and find something else that you CAN agree on was wrong, and could be better.

So let's try that on the events of this week in 1939 perhaps. And maybe, that might also help you to see what we can easily agree on today too. Perhaps... just by chance.

1939 (Or so they say :) )

• On June 29 the first intercontinental commercial plane flight to Europe is concluded. (And we're assuming it also flew back)
  
  Was this good or bad? Well , today that whole pony show has turned into Jetfuel burning at massive scales across the globe, destroying everything due to pollution.
  
  The reason for all this? Induced mass escapism movements of droves of people that sit in this aluminum tube burning jetfuel for not other real reason than entertainment. Luxury is easily the label for 99% of all human air travel.
  
  Every day at least 100 000 flights take off on planet earth , and with an average of 200 passengers per plane , that means that every day over 20 million people are citizens of the insane asylum called : "The flying aluminum jet-fueled flare of heavy metal poisoning institute".
  
  And we also know that one of the massive government expenses is to basically pay for most of that entire industry with tax payer money to keep it afloat... while it also keeps being super expensive, since even with all that government support and outrageous pricing for everything from a glass of water to peeing it out again ... and lets not forget safety... Every business in that sector is bleeding into bankruptcy faster than the governments can print money. The solution is always more levering into more distant futures with bigger imaginary figures.
  
  Perhaps... Every country's budget imbalance is instantaneously fixed if they completely stop support the commercial air flight industry? And if anyone can make air travel actually make sense again on itself... meaning... that it's a profitable business by itself... like , i dont know... like it works in a free market right? Then they can go and try that if they want.
  
  That's actually something everyone can agree on. And the only reason for "why not" is then. But... that's what we've always done. Well... Stop doing that and your country's fiscal problems are over... Pollution is outrageously reduced , and an entire new "innovation" space of commercial air traffic solutions open up again.
  Naaaah... I just booked a vacation to an overcrowded beach where i'll complain about there being too many people there, which i booked off of this mass media solution that told me i'll be the only one getting this super cheap deal to go sit there.
  
  Nope... I guess we need to move on from thinking there was something to learn here I guess.
• Also on June 29 Henry ford incorporates his automated factory design process perfected on cars, to farming tractors and puts the 3-point hitch system on it, instantly transforming "the tractor" into the Nature Domination machine of the century! And it can be mass produced now! And we have droves of slaves in factories that live only to serve the factory, and they're all ok with it since at the end of the day all those workers get to work out all their frustrations in many horribel ways... usually in a drunk stupor. The food chain has been perfected instantly!
  
  Naaah... Absolutely nothing that could be learned here either right? Nothing here that anyone of us could agree on, could easily be done better now.
  
  Moving on yet again...
• June 30 : Heinkel He 176 rocket plane flies for 1st time, at Peenemunde
  A few years later , when someone else does that... they called it "Foo fighters" somewhere else... anyways... Jet fuel stuff. Been there , done that... moving on right?
• Jul 3 (A few days later) Ernst Heinkel demonstrates 800 kph (500 mph) rocket plane to Adolf Hitler
• Jul 4 : we played baseball by the way...
• Jul 5 Flash floods kill 79 in Northeast Kentucky
  Nope... Not a single reference to today, and absolutely nothing to learn here either.
  
• Jul 6 German Nazis close last Jewish enterprises
  And this one definitely has absolutely nothing to teach us AT ALL!

I guess I owe you all an apology. It seems there wasn't that much to learn from history as I thought. But even then, I'm still left with this certainty that building something better, based on the things you learned from the past sounds like a good idea, so we're going to keep doing that.

And we've learned all the problems from that history , and we're working on better things that are immune to the problems of the past , so we're totally ready to make completely new mistakes in another direction if we would only want too.

We all seem to have copious amounts of time to read about it staying stuck though. Isn’t that fascinating?

So feeling scared about the future? Stop being so , and do something.

Find or create a solution, that has learned from the past... or start learning from the past first , also good. :)

And if you can't do any of those things for any reason whatsoever? At least support our efforts then , and you can just sit there and enjoy all the goodness of it later too.

You basically can't loose! So give us all your money, time and effort... right NOW!

We do need your help , but are just imitating how all the ones that you are complaining about, but giving your money, time and effort too, are doing that.
