The affliction of affiction : an addiction to fiction.

So one superpower is trying to cling to destructive and extractionary dogma in a last gasp of despair, and so are the other ones... and they're all taking it personal too.

The affliction of affiction : an addiction to fiction.

Let's be clear... an undeniable majority of humanity wants to start by respecting those imaginary lines on the ground currently called countries , and it's pretty obvious who's on the wrong side of those lines we agreed on, and yes, we know... you might not like that and want to fight about it, but the majority of your people don't.

The vast majority of those people wouldn't automatically self motivate themselves in large droves to go do those idiotic and maniac things. They need to be trained and invested in massively before they become motivated enough to become good at something like that. It takes a lot of work to create that actually.

And this thing that needs to be done for that has many names like manipulation, indoctrination, training, schooling, education, propaganda, news, entertainment, law, etc... Or at least that thing that needs to be done like that accepts no limits in how it should be allowed to do that at the very least. That's sort of the core paradigm of that dogma. To take it, without moral or ethical restrictions.

And on this side we have to defend against that obviously wrong way of thinking. Sadly. But at some point that would actually have to be done too... Because it won't stop coming unless it's actively being stopped. It's fiction to expect it too. An addictive fiction.

The best cure against all of that is to use the actual safety and possibilities that all this defending actually still protects and to build on something that is easier to protect.
Something with less dependencies on the things that you're defending against too.

These superpowers that we're all defending against, are also just "defending" that thing that is slowly but surely making everything worse all the time.

Pointing your attention to doing better things will help yourself and those around you a lot more than escaping into fiction ever will. But it's so convenient isn't it?

But what they then say! ... oooh no... that's too much too read sadly... :( I need an answer in a convenient package of 20 seconds or it can't work.

And the affiction is complete.

The complete addiction to fiction as a perceived good enough way to be.

And did you know it's actually also super fun to just be building on better things? That's literally just good for whatever ails ya.
